When the probability of conceiving is highest, it is shortly before ovulation. Reason: Reproductive cells can survive in a womans vagina, uterus and egg channel for about 2 to 3 days. In the best conditions, during fertile days, even up to 5 days. However, once set out, the egg can be fertilized in only 12 to 24 hours.

In the event of sexual intercourse on the day of raw ovulation, ovulation may have occurred in the morning and the egg does not accept semen anymore in the evening yet. However, if sperm cells enter the womans body 1-2 days before ovulation, these sperm cells meet the egg in the healthiest condition.
